Personal background
My nam is Jeremy Parker and I'm from Port St. Lucie FL. That's in Central Florida. I'm 17 years old and I'm currently a High school student. I am a computer guy and that's the basis of all my hobbies. I'm always interested in learning something new and enjoy helping SETI evaluate their data.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe in Extraterrestrial life. but I don't think humand will do the discovering. I think the humand will be discovered. How can we find intelligent life and not expect them to be looking for us. If their not looking their not intelligent. There are benefits and dangers of any discovery.

Humans should transmit a beacon for others to find if it's in a reasonable price range. I don't think it will be worth it if an ET found it. He'd be clueless as to what to do with it.

I read about SETI@home and was immediately hooked on helping. When I first got it I was running on a pentium 166 with 32 megs of ram. I am currently running a 1Ghz AMD Duron with 256 megs of ram. I think the project is running good but my only concern is that you guys might run out of data for us.
