Hi, I am Hans-Peter from Holland. I am already a few years interrested in everything "Out of the bleu" I love Startrek and Starwars, I own a large collection Books and Video's of mainly Science Fiction. :)
I started a long time ago with Seti at home, but I forgot :( Seti a bit, till last year after watching Contact with Jody Foster (Sparks) and I picked it up again. When I first started, the PC (a 286) needed 53 hours calculating a unit, but now I run Setiathome all the time because my PC is powerfull enough to do this and doing all sorts of other things at the same time, even video editing.
Now my PC needs about 7 hours for a unit!

Opinions about Seti@Home. It's an interresting thing, even without the pc screensaver! Seeing those big radio telescopes and all that equipment doing there things listening to the skys!
It would be lonely with only us walking on this Earth, crawling with live! There must be more out there.
To Boldly go where no Man has Gone before!
