Personal background
My name is Ken am 39 years old and I own Hblock flight services located in Mesa AZ. I specialize in flight training and all other areas of aviation from aircraft purchasing to maintenance. Flying is the only hobby/job I have for the exception of ancient megalithic societies which I guess is more of a hobby.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Why do I run SETI?
being a student of all sciences I find the search for extraterrestrial civilizations past and present to be the most important search in human history.

My view on the project?
Its fantastic and the people over at SETI putting in the hours listening to all the critics. Some day it will be all worth it. The American Christians and any other fundamentalist religious group will dread that day.

Suggestions?
Indeed I have a few. Why not scan higher frequency bands instead of just radio? I know radio is where all might begin but what about more modern ways to search? The star KIC 8462852 is a great example of modern ways of looking and I know SETI is listening to that anomaly. What about detection methods we could use here on earth? Bare with me here but any advanced civilization who can transverse open space might have already found us yet keep a distance. Remember the movie they live? kinda like that in a way. We need those glasses
