Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. I think that there are so many planets and galaxies out there that there has to be life, however primitive, somewhere out there. Humans could discover them tomorrow, in an hour or maybe they never will. no-one knows when we recieve a signal from aliens. If we do find extra-terrestrial intelligence, then we would hope that they would be friendly peaceful beings who didn't want to take over the planet like in the movies.

2. I would have thought that any TV or radio signals we send out could be picked up by aliens if they were going in the right direction. maybe we should send out audio and visual signals about what earth is like, because if aliens have the technology to pick up these signals then they should be able to decode them as well.

3. I run SETI@home because I am really interested in finding extra terrestrial intelligence and finding out whether we really are only here through some freakish occurence and just the right amount of lots of chemicals or whether this sort of thng regurlarly occurs everywhere in the universe.
