I've worked in the IT industry for the best part of twenty years now and I'm the wrong side of 45 but I do like to see new ideas such as SETI@home. It's refreshing to see something of this scale without money being involved..!!
Beyond sitting in front of a screen (which I do too much) I do like to get out camping, archery & motorcycles...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home is a brilliant idea. Obviously one would like to be the person who finds a pattern first but the taking part and encouraging the kids to be involved in something like this is equally important.
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
