Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

To my mind it's not impossible that extraterrestrial life exists. Why would we be alone in space, if others galaxies similar to ours are found today? Wouldn't it be a coincidence if no planet similar to Earth exists, with the same conditions (near a Star like our sun).

To my mind, the main danger is to find an extraterrestrial population quite similar to ours, with domination of other species spirit. Benefits, in case of a peaceful collaboration with a more advanced population ( technologies, medecine, social) or the opposite, would be an exchange of knowledge for our evolution.

Peaceful messages.

I've heard for a long time about Seti. I think Seti is a good initiative, and clustering calculation of signals over internet is the most powerful means to advance in a comfortable speed. Hope simply one day, thanks to Seti, we'll know by decoding signals if yes or no there is extra-terrestrial life. Today, all the foundations about this theory are based on speculation, witnesses (fake in general), or pure supposition. We don't ever know if states are implied , if they know or not, if they were witnesses but hide the truth.
