Personal background
I almost have it allllll figured out...
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Extraterrestrial life definitely exists. I dunno if we'll find out anytime soon, everything's still so far away! But really, I'm not sure if this whole radio-signal-listening will amount to much. How much life do you think is actually transmitting radio? Would they think others would be listening? Would they be worried of others finding them? What if radio is in their visual spectrum, and they communicate through waves at our visual spectrum?

2) If we could find a cost-effective way to do it, why not? But I think before that, we should send out craft that transmit a beacon for It to be found. No use giving away ourselves too easily.

3) Wanted to do something with my spare clock cycles. Wasn't interested in the SETI at home project until after reading Pale Blue Dot many many times.
