I am a MainFrame DB2 DataBase Administrator living in Vancouver Washington. I love Science fiction, Personal Computers and fishing (what a combination).
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think extraterrestrial life exists? Yes, can be the only answer. To be all alone in this vast universe would be unimaginable. I do however wonder what would occur should we find "ET", I hope they would be friendly but if they are not we could be making a big mistake if we announce our presence without being prepared for the consequences.

Being the optimist that I am, I really believe that if they can come to us, they are advanced enough to understand that we are where they were many eons ago. So let's invite them into our home in the hope that they can help us understand how fragile our planet is and assist us in stopping the demise of our species
