Personal background
Dohhh! Bax is leanin' on me for a bio so here it is: my SETI friends can call me 'Diesel Dan' as I work in the petroleum industry. I'm 48, divorced with 2 daughters 11 and 14. I reside in central Alberta, Canada (near Bax). I read almost anything and hardly watch any television (guess I live outside the box) eh eh eh. I run Seti as well as 2 servers on the Shareaza and mIRC filesharing networks 24/7. I share many common interests with Bax including computers, survivalism, camping and being a bad boy when the system tries to put limits on me (that will be the extent of my political rhetoric, thank you) If you enjoy what you're doin' and there are no casualties, more power to ya! You can quote me on that. Time for another brew, cheers!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
If there is intelligent life out there and against all odds it is found, I would really like to be part of it!!!
Personally, I think my odds of winning a lottery jackpot are astronomically better, but I keep buying those damn tickets ;-D
If 3 million blind men/women had to find a needle amongst a billion billion haystacks in their lifetimes, I think the odds would be better.
I was born an optimist, at 40 became a realist and hope to die b4 I become a pessimist eh eh eh.
Look into my eyes!
