Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
SETI@home is a great project and I'm happy to be able to make some small contribution to the research. Hopefully all the tireless work and dedication from all members and staff and volunteers and everyone will one day bear some fruit. It will be a great event in the course of history if this were to happen. If not, at least we are not wasting CPU cycles.

As for the project itself, I am amazed at what the staff have been able to accomplish with such limited resources. Hopefully one day more people will realize that this project is a lot more important than they consider it to be now and more public resources will be available to the project. I guess society's current priorities are different; too bad. In the meantime, its nice to see so many participants that are interested.

Thanks again to all the staff and volunteers that make it possible for members like myself to contribute to scientific research in a unique way.
