| Statistically speaking, I believe e.t. life exists. We may not find them, perhaps they will find us (if they haven't already). Let's just hope they are kinder to lower life forms than we are...I hope they don't view us as food, or as something else we would consider unpleasant. I believe that contact with e.t. would in some way unify humanity and make the world a better place. Since we have been transmitting for the better part of a century already, I'm not sure of the value of establishing a special beacon...what frequencies would you use?...what would make that frequency better than the tv and radio waves we have been sending? As to what info should be sent...alas we have already sent a rather unflattering portrait of ourselves via tv signal i.e. vietnam war footage, watergate hearings, brady bunch reruns etc. |
