Profile: Commgod

Personal background
I am a student at the University of South Florida. I am also a member of the Marine Corps reserve, 4th Tracks. I have been a user since my senior year in high school. I figure with as much information that the Arecibo Radio Observatory takes in each day, we should all help sift through the noise and see what might be out there.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I don't know what might be living out there, but as humans, it is in our nature to be curious and with that said we should make the effort to seek as much knowledge as we can.
Should we transmit a beacon? Well, if you think about it we are already. We have so many radio signals bouncing around, maybe on some distant plant there are folks listing to our transmissions from 50 years ago.
