I am a stay at home mom. Living in Central Florida we get to see the shuttle and rocket lift offs from Cape Canaveral when they occur. What a spectacular site that is. When every this is a launch and my son is up we go outside and look over the lake and there we see the rocket going up. I hope to instill in my son a love of science and astronomy, just like his mom!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I do believe there is life elsewhere. Unless we actually look for it I don't think we will ever find, unless by fortunate accident. I'm so glad that I can be part of the SETI program by running SETI@home on my computer; I feel like I am contributing towards an important exploration of our universe. I can tell my son that we helped to find if extraterrestrial life exists and where. Wouldn't that be a hell of a legacy for my kid!
