Profile: MiyabiLeopard

Personal background
in case you hadn't realised, i'm oliver clements, or miyabi.. whichever you prefer. the latter being a grey unmarked member of the Panthera Uncia family... for all those wondering what that is, its the snow leopard. cute. ^^

being english, i reside in kinda small apartment in a leafy town called wycombe about 20 miles from central london, so its basically a suburb

Interests? hmm, computers obviously.. web design, graphic design, c.g., i love it all.. movies, movies are a big part of my life. i also enjoy the odd bit of snowboarding, skateboarding, and of course the habitual intake of alcohol. well, i say habitual, i get drunk about once every three months, funds permitting

current occupation?... well.. heh.. i'm a student at henley technical college.. and i do multitudes of stuff to do with computers. this gives me the ability to buy things, which is nice. oh, and i draw, occaisionally.. a budding artist, if you will, but only a hobbyist, i have never taken an art lesson in my life :)..

hey, this looks like a nice spot for some random site pimping! http://www.oliverclements.co.uk :D... view entirely at your leisure, your traffic only benefits you, assuming you like my work :)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i think that for their not to be other life in the supposedly infinite universe, is a touch misguided. however, who knows for sure, and thats why we have SETI.. assumptions, as we all know, are the mother of all.. well... yes :)..

humans transmitting beacons? well, a waste of time and money, if you ask me.... how do we know if where we send it it's gonna reach anyone or anything? after all its velocity is that of linearity.

i run seti at home because i find radio transmission, and the principles behind it infinitely interesting. just having a piece of something 'real' as it were churring away on my desktop is a very cool thing indeed ^^
