Personal background
Hey all, I am a 20 year old college student majoring in Information Technology at RIT (Rochester Institute of Technology).

I am originally from Buffalo, NY but for school I've migrated 90 miles down the I-90 to Rochester where I live in a slum that some people call on-campus apartments ;-).

When I am not working at my wonderful on-campus job as a Manager in food service (note sarcasm) ... I am usually playing around with my computers (old computers are fun to bring back to life), cooking, or playing with my car.

Anything else you could possibly want to know about me would be best found out here at my webpage. It goes through periods of disarray but is usually something working there :-). Have fun, Enjoy!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Do I think ET is out there? Hell yeah ... we may not discover them in my lifetime, but I figure whats the worst that could come out of my helping the search, ya know? If there wasn't something out there, it would be an awful lot of wasted space.

Should humans transmit a beacon? I would say we already through enough noise out into space as it is ... ET is going to have its work cut out decoding all that before he has a chance to get to the beacon ... so I would say, more looking less broadcasting.

Why do I run SETI@home? First, I like being part of the largest supercomputer there is, distributed computing is an amazing thing. Second, since I think ET is out there I figure it can't hurt me to help. Third, what else am I going to do with all these old computers I have lying around here? (LOL)
