Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Possibly. It has taken us 4,5 Billion years to evolve and discover radio and nuclear. We broadcast for almost 100 years. Our technology advances fast. Probability of finding near equal peers is slim.
We should not send out beacons, we might not like who answers.
I think SETI is an important and natural step in our civilizations development.
