Personal background
Hello, I live in NC and I am 45. I am currently trying to help my husband start a business and it is not easy. I am a student, homemaker and animal lover. I am a music lover and I am interested in mapping star systems and everything about our universe and possible information gathering. I am a member of The American Association of Amateur Astronomers. I am also a member of The Christian Astronomy Association. I suffered a stroke when I was 30 and my husband helped me get in school and also helped me to aquire the computer I have now. I consider myself to be an eternal student and most everything seems new and exciting to me more than ever before. Clear Sky's Sherrie (Cheryl)
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that Seti is a great beginning to discovering life unknown to us yet. I also feel that other advanced beings could assist us in improving discoveries that could effect all humans. As far as dangers, I do think there could be a possility that other life forms could want things from the Earth that they need and they could choose a hostile way of getting what they may need. If a beacon is chosen I think it should be in the way of soothing musical sounds in the form of information, maybe with numberical code like the binary code system, 0's and 1's in special formats. I like gathering information that could effect our future good and I feel Seti is a program for the good changes that could come in the future and I feel privleged to be a part of good change for the future.
