Hallo.
I was born in 1979 on May 1st.
Since I was little I had always dreamt of becoming something in the world of science, or at least participate in something great.
As the introduction is in Startrek Next Generation: "Space, the final frontier", what more fitting then that. Back in the 90ties I began to explore the newest and wildest sciences of extraterrestrial information, quantum mechanics, space travel, stars, planets and all the stuff outside our earth.
Of course not all the information was understandable to me, but it was exiting. Now, some 10 or 14 years later, I have been trained as an Electronics Technician, with a background in some knowledge of IT systems, physics and a lot of electronics.
Explanation of the profile picture:
The symbol is build up around 3 basic symbols in our history.
1. The eagle represents strength, courage, toughness and willpower.
2. The circle with tow intersecting lines represent the old earth symbol,
terra, a symbol of togetherness, unification, equableness and the
strength of all.
3. the pentagram pointing up, normally misunderstood as a sign of the
devil or evil, but as it is displayed, pointed up, it represents the 5
basic elements, earth, fire, water, wind and spirit (mind), when
displayed up it actually means mind over matter, the control of science
and technology, the minds control over any element. In short our
control of science.
All in all the symbol represents our ability to stand together, no matter the problem, our willpower to master all scientific elements, what it means to be human, the willingness to fight against all odds. Exactly what SETI is doing and a lot of other organizations.

| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

The SETI program is in my view, the work of a genius, if you calculate the number of idle computers world wide, it would blow your mind, imagine more computers then you would want to count, just standing by for any user information to process. These computers should be put to work, and the SETI project is the far best choice.
Why SETI ? The exploration of space, the discovery of an alien race amongst the stars, to blow the whole egocentric idea that we humans on earth are special and created by god. I am in no doubt that we are not alone in the universe, only a blind, deft and dumb person would believe that. The only trouble is that any wave has a max velocity, and the further we look out in the cosmos the better the chance is that the civilization we receive a signal from is already extinct.
Another problem is our technology compared with whom ever we find out there, maybe we using the wrong device or method to locate them. Maybe there is some sort of unknown mathematical formula in the noise we receive, that the aliens has found usable for transmissions on their world.
I don’t know.
My suggestions ? Hmm. Keep up the good work people. If you at any point need help in any aspect, know that you have the world at your disposal, don’t hesitate to call in all your assets.
