Profile: NEO

Personal background
I am one of the nameless, faceless drones who work for the government (county). They pretend to pay me, I pretend to work. :)
I am not a computer whiz, nor do I have my own website.
There is nothing at all particularly remarkable about me in any way.
I do, however, have a thirst for knowledge, so I read constantly--just about anything I can get my hands on.
I chose the nickname "NEO" because "The Matrix" is one of my favorite movies. I first heard about the Seti@home project on the TV show "JAG", and have been a member almost ever since then.
I am in my early thirties, unhappily unmarried, and bored.
I hope to be "the one" who discovers evidence of intelligent alien life.
I love The Buckeyes of Ohio State University, and I belong to that group.
Just got a new computer that is much faster than my old one, so I hope to get a lot more workunits under my belt!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think it is possible that e.t.'s exist. However, I believe that any actual signal received by SETI from an E.T. origin will either be A) so garbled that we would never be able to distinguish it from any other signal, or B) So old that whatever civilization sent it is either long gone or else would have been here by now (Of course, maybe they already are...) But I keep my computer analyzing data, just in case...
