Personal background
Hi im 40 years old living in england and the main reason why i am a seti@home helper is that i am a believer in ET in one form or another.I also love to look up at the stars and just wonder!

********* ALSO ********** THERES ********* THIS *******

On a recent trip to blackpool,UK. Me and my girlfriend tracy were walking down the promenade looking out to sea getting wet with the waves and generally messing about when we both stopped and looked up at the stars( it has to be said at this point that we were both sober and had'nt smoked anything either!)
We both at the same time commented, on what appeared, at first glance to be a shooting star. going from left to right across the sky, at the same time an aircraft was going from land straight out to sea ( by this time it must have been some miles out)the shooting star appeared to be heading straight for it but a short distance before what looked like was going to be acollision it made a 90 degree downward movement (without altering speed )and then another 90 degree to head back toward where we were dissapearing over the top of blackpool about 10 seconds later it came back headed out to sea then made a left turn and dissapeared over the horizon from somewhere else another shooting star came and followeed its mate the speed they were travelling at was phenominal covering the 3/4 of the horizon in 2 or 3 seconds as far as i am aware there is no man made craft that can either travel at these speeds or carry out the sort of manoeuvers that they did. Draw your own conclusions as to what they were.
I HAVE!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

as to wether i believe life exsists elsewhere i think i have just answered that, as to how will humans discover it the answer is when they want us to.

THOUGHT OF THE MILLENIUM!
just to put an hyperthetical spanner in the work you are doing, if we came across a species that was, lets say 50 years behind us and we didnt want them to know we were there, and we knew they were checking for radio signals it is not beyond our capabilities to block them, we are doing it now to cut out engine noise in cars, a smaller scale i grant you, but we could, if we wanted to!
