Personal background
I'm originally from Monterey, CA, but due to my father being in the U.S. Army, I have moved all over the U.S. and abroad. Currently, I live in the Washington D.C. area.

I'm 31 and I work as a Helpdesk Supervisor for a Financial Firm. My wife and I have two boys. My family is important to me and I spend as much time as I can with my boys, wife, and my 14 year old Jack Russell Terrier.

I'm a baseball playing fanatic, but I'm not one to keep track of player statistics. I also love working on computers (building and repairing), running, playing video games, I'm into nutrition.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
When one thinks about life being beyond our own world, you have to think about what created Earth. I'm a firm believer that Earth was created from organisms from other worlds long ago. These organisms could have caught a ride on meteorites that have crashed into Earth billions of years ago. With this in mind, there has to be life on other worlds somewhere in the universe. It's nieve for us to think that we are the only living creatures in the universe. I don't just think that there are other worlds with life on them, like Earth, but I KNOW.

SETI@home is a wonderful project that allows everyone to be involved in the search for sophisticated life on other planets. It's fun for novices and professional ET hunters alike.

My only suggestion is to make headlines that download to a client's SETI@home screen of interesting finds and technical news. These downloads could be made at the same time a client downloads a new data unit to be processed. The headlines would be updated everytime the client downloads a new data unit to process. Other than that, SETI@home is great!
