I was driving back from Houston (to Dallas) one Friday night when I broke down
on I-45 outside of Centerville. Since it was about 2:00am I opened the tailgate
on my truck and laid down to watch the stars. I had been laying there about 30
minutes when I spotted what appeared to be a falling star. As I watched it, it
suddenly stopped, remained there for about 2 minutes, then as suddeenly as it had stopped it took a right turn and the sped out of sight. Now when I say sped,
I mean it was probably doing about 10 to 15 thousand MPH! Now it could not have been a jet or balloon as the Air Force suggested it was.....it just MOVED TOO
DAMN FAST! To make a long story short...I am thoroughly convinced that Life
exists beyond our Solar System and as for when we will make "1st Contact". I
think that we will do that within the next 10 years or so. Now I don't beleive
that we should send up the proverbial "Flair". If another race of beings with superior minds should find our "Flair", who's to say that they will be a nice
bunch of folks just waiting to wave HI back to us. They might be evil beyond
EVIL. Now guess what folks.....we are not anywhere near prepared to fight a
superior race of beings for our planet. |
