My name is Jason Clarke. I was born, raised and still live in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. Ontario is so beautiful... I am glad to live here still.
I am an Amateur Radio Operator and have enjoyed this hobby for more than 10 years now. We, as Ham operators, are always looking to make contact with someone else on the airwaves that is the furtherest away possible.
Amateur Radio has played a big role in communications around the world, for many many years. (Since the dawn of the first radio wave!)
It would be interesting to see an Amateur Radio Operator make first contact with an alien being. Who knows, it could be possible!

I do think that extraterrestrial life exists out there... Where? Who knows. Maybe, just maybe they use a different set of frequencies to communicate on. Maybe they communicate using frequencies similar to Star Trek... Sub-space. (or whatever) We'll never know unless we find something in the datastreams we've collected.
Non the less... it would be kewl to find out there is someone or something out there that we may be able to communicate with. I don't believe that we are the only beings in this universe. It would be ludicrous for us (humans) to think that we are!
It is great to see such enthusiasm about this project. I am very glad to be part of SETI's distributed computing project, even if my donation to this project is so minuscule.
