Personal background
I'm a 22 year's old student from Belgium. After graduating as bachelor in applied computer science at HOGENT, I now study computer science at VUB.
Besides computer science, I'm intrested in other sciences such as theology, philosphy, astronomy.
I like to read Fantasy and Sci-Fi books (i'm currently reading the laws of magic by Terry Goodkind).
So, what more to tell, well, I like duration sports like long distance swimming and survival-run, my favourite music genres are all about metal, heavy, gothic, ..., my favourite band is Iron Maiden.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think that extraterrestrial life exists, I do not have a clue wether it would be intelligent (as how we define intelligence), and if we ever would find a sign of them. To find a sign, they would have to be transmitting, or we should by accident tummble on any of their 'activities', if we could, in any way, registre any of those, then we will have to be very lucky to listen to it at the right time on the right direction.

I think that we should transmit a beacon for others to find, in many formats -defined by us, humans, so that any of those formats may be discoverd and seen as a sign of intelligence by other extraterstrial curltures. It's all about chance, and this is a good way improving the chance.

So that is why I help by analysing the data with seti@home, so that the chance of finding any of the signs out there, will be increased by a little part.
