Profile: Walt Eis

Personal background
I'm a programmer for the Associated Colleges of Central Kansas. I'm 39 Years old (when I wrote this, on Feb. 11 2002). I am a graduate of Missouri Western State College in St. Joseph, MO. I enjoy mathematics, astronomy, gardening, and programming, not necessarily in that order.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Personally, I have my doubts that extraterrestrial life will be found. It seems such a fragile thing that it's hard to imagine that the exact conditions necessary would exist elsewhere. But who knows? It'd be really cool if it did though.

I'm really interested in the distributed computing nature of SETI@home.
