Personal background
I recently graduated from Rutgers University in NJ and still reside in the state. I want to continue my education in the field of physics especially concerning Astrophysics. P.S. seti at home, I wouldn't mind going to Arecibo.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
People laugh sometimes when you tell them you run seti at home. Won't they be surprised if you or I someday are the one's who get that signal. Parsecs and Parsecs of empty space simply cannot contain nothing. I'm proud to be a seti at home user as I am sure each and every one of you are. Finding extraterrestrial life is just around the corner being that almost every sun will probably turn out to have at least one planet. Let's get those optical arrays up and functioning. Also the laser detection seti project sounds real good, I think that's a good signal to double check for as well. We don't have to fear extraterrestrials, they should fear us. If they are smart they won't reveal themselves to us because we would probably destroy them just like all the people we found in the past who lived in areas we wanted to colonize. In short, it's a worthwhile project and let's hope earth is grown up enough to be able to handle contact when it does happen.
