I work as an integration engineer for Linux Beowulf clusters. Currently I am running
setiathome on a 12 node smp beowulf running a mixture of Redhat 7.3 and MSC.Linux. This
is the chimera compute cluster at MSC.Software's corporate headquarters, a development
and testing cluster. I mostly use the setiathome client to develop tools to allow
me to remotely control (startup, shutdown, modify) applications on a private beowulf
network that are not cluster aware (such as setiathome.)
SETI@home and Astropulse are funded by grants from the National Science Foundation, NASA, and donations from SETI@home volunteers. AstroPulse is funded in part by the NSF through grant AST-0307956.
