Profile: Unreservingly apologize

Personal background
Hi fellow SETI enthusiasts and supporters, greetings from Malaysia. To fellow Malaysians, how about forming a group here to pool our stats?
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Yes, I believe it's possible that in this vast universe we're not the only lifeform that exist. Given the distance and existing technology limitation, the discovery will take time. It's quite possible initial discovery and contact will be through not direct physical contact but rather through light-based or some other efficient form of communication technology. There is of course risks of dangers and benefits, but we'll never know if we do not try. Imagine the world if earlier explorers thought the world was flat and didn't dare to explore.

2. In a way, we already are with television and radio signals. Let's hope they won't judge us by the content of our television and news.

3. I believe if we're successful in establishing contact, maybe humans will start to realize that we're not alone, that life is precious and rare, and we should seek to understand and respect our diversity and different views.
