Profile: Jonathan A Basso

Personal background
Hello. My name is Jonathan Anthony Basso. I live in the USA in the state of Ohio. My home is in a town called Hudson. I'm currently 19 and living on my own (and have been for quite some time). I have an IQ of over 160 (considered a genius), whereas the average IQ is 90-100. I'm out of school and currently have a job as a developer making pretty good money. My main interests deal with computers, anime, and the opposite sex. Although I'm responsible, I can be very immature. I annoy my friends sometimes by doing stupid things. They say it doesn't bother them sometimes, but I think they're just used to me. But that's also some of the good qualities, I'll make quite a fool of myself on a bet. Of course, I do have limits - I'm not going to do anything insane. But I do like to have a good time. Still, when the situation requires, I can become very efficient and decisive, and usually a pretty good leader. Of course, I probably wouldn't be too good on the swimming fast part. Unless the doggy paddle or floating are considered swimming. Anyways, this is who I am, and if you don't like it - look at someone else's profile. Peace.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe that the universe is a huge place. Bigger than our minds can comprehend. So how can we be the only living planet out of millions? It's just common logic if you ask me. I would like to see intelligent life from someplace else, we would probably be able to learn much from them, since they have a way to get here, they must have some pretty awesome technology. Even if they were just able to send some signals back to us, for whatever reason, I believe that actual contact that is public knowledge would be amazing. If it was covered up by the government or something, I think that would be stupid, since they try to stop us from freaking out, but it's bound to happen sooner or later. It would be sweet if one of my data units was a key part. Doubt it would happen, but I can dream. Still, the chance is still alive, and even if I don't get credit, at least we're still getting somewhere.
