| Hello all fellow SETI@home program members. I am 27 years old computer technician from Helsinki Finland. I work as an sales manager for the biggest computer netstore in our country. I spend a lot of time with my friends. The most important thing in the signers life, second becomes everything else. But besides hanging out with friends I actually play quite a lot of addicting MMORPG's ( DAoC, etc. ) and irc is one of the main channels to keep up with some friends that you cannot see every so often. Clubbing at weekends in the night of Helsinki is also part of our tradition for 9 straight years. We'll be never too old to dance. |

What about extraterrestial intelligence? Well it seems to me that it would be almost an impossible to think that there is no one out there besides us. Like someone's father said in one film. It would be an awful waste of space. :) I think most of us has seen that one. On personal note I don't think I will ever see any "ETI" myself but like Forrest Gump would put it. "Life is like a box of chokolates you never know what you going to get".
I run the program for few reasons, like for starters I really do want to know what's out there and if there is something I can do about it by actually doing nothing myself why not. ( what could be easier ) I don't need my computers all day like when I'm working or sleeping it's quite simple to keep them running and counting the countless posibilities.
And what comes to beacons then. I think we should send them from time to time and the info on them should be like where we are to be found (tracer ) and what have we humans done to this point ( good and the bad ) should be inserted in them. And I don't mind if they put teach english for dummies in the beacon. LOL. Now, lets get serious again.
Finally I'd just like to say to you all. Keep up the good work and get some new members for our program. And by that I mean that this program here is for the good of all of us. |
