Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I think seti@home is a great project. deep inside all of us who are participating (or maybe not so deep) we all hope that we will be the ones to find the alien signal. and although it might not happen, we still hope and keep running seti on our computers. I think that this project is a great way to utilize unused computer power in ways that are productive for everyone. The BOINC project is a great step forward from the original seti@home into a more universal project that is geared towards a more general audience and science community. I would really like to see more projects get involved with BOINC.
