Profile: Eric Adams

Personal background

I'm in my early 20's and going to the University of Alabama, Roll Tide! I'll be graduating with a degree in Computer Engineering in mid-2004. I've travelled to every state in the southeast and a few outside. I'd love to go to Europe or a tropical island. I love politicking so don't be surprised if I only respond to ideological discussions.

Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home

I do not believe life on other planets exists. If one were to think of the overwhelming odds against life developing (on its own) here on our own planet, it's hardly imaginable life would exist elsewhere. But there's no reason a signal shouldn't be transmitted. As for why I run SET@home, there are other purposes for SETI than to just discover other organisms, such as finding black holes, pulsars, and other space anomaly.
