| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1. I think extraterrestrial life may exist but I have no idea when or how we will discover it. Possible benefits and dangers would depend on how different the extraterrestrials are from us.
2. Yes, we should transmit a beacon with all our mathematical formulas, from the most basic to the most advanced, to exhibit our level of our technology.
3. I run SETI@home because I'm interested in how the project works. I think it is a worthwhile project and am supporting it by continuing to run the PC program. I have no suggestions at this time. |
