1> Yes, considering how pervasive life is on this planet it's impossible to think it isn't that way on other planets.
2> Hmmm, Considering the distance and the slow speed of EM, it seems futile. I think we need to focus on transcending the light speed problem.
3> I want to contribute to a worthy cause that gets very little support from the Feds. I think there is a reasonable chance Seti can detect a real signal in the next few decades. It's also a great experiment in distributed analyses.
