Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I believe ET life exists. We can not be the only lucky creatures in the whole universe that happens to exist. I think it is just a matter of time to find an evidence to that.
I am concerned though what would happen if two different intelligent species become aware of each other. Would the reaction be determined by violence or wisdom. Even, we human beings sometimes do not interact with eachother kindly when there are differences among us. These mostly derives from miscommunications which causes misunderstandings and/or self-defense feelings triggered by fears of imagination.
I'd heard about SETI@home before but i could not get a chance to install to my computer so far. I think it is a great idea to make idle hardware cycles work and to make people feel that they contribute to search for ET life and increase their awareness of our universe.
