Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1. Do you think extraterrestrial life exists? YES
.If so, when and how will humans discover it? When they'er ready
.What are the possible benefits and dangers of such a discovery? Could be the Best of the Best or the Worst of the Worst... lets wait and see ~grin~
2. Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? YES
.If so, what information should we send? I think our general Radio & TV transmissions are doing a bang-up job of reporting on mankind (LOL)
3. Why do you run SETI@home? Cause I believe in more than just us.
.What are your views about the project? Worth while and cool to boot.
.Any suggestions? performance improvments on the client side would help... maybe a default ram disk install option for starters or binary flash peek data scan for users sporting a gig or two of memory.
