Well, I live 54 km. southwest of Sydney Australia. I work in television as a Video Post Production Supervisor and have done so for the last 28 years. I have had many hobbies ranging from go-carts, computer programming to telescope making. I have less hobbies these days because time does not allow it. I guess my main hobbie now is my family. (Ok stop crying now).

Do I think life exists elsewhere in the Universe? Well yes I do. How do I know? Well just take one minute to think about who we are and where we live. Try and think outside the square. Here we are, a species, a form of life. Now go up in a plane and look down. Can you see us? No? But hang on, we do exist. We exist but from only a short distance upwards we cannot be seen. Now try and think of yourself looking at the Earth from beyond the moon, from beyond the stars. We still cannot be seen but you know we exist. Should I go on? No? We live on this blue world in a sea of other worlds. All because we cannot see them does not make them less real then we are. Do you really think that out of all the planets in the Universe ours would only suport life? Yes it's easy to think this way I guess but I say to you just this one sentence "Open your eyes and look up". Believe it! You are life in this Universe so yes life does exist.....
I do not beleive we will ever make contact with someone else only because we always think that life should be like us, then again maybe it is like us, who knows but the unfortunate thing that hinders us is distance. Radio waves can only travel so far and so fast and thats a real bummer. I hope I am proven wrong. I really don't need to know that a radio signal has been found because I know that there is life out there already but hey, I will help as much as possible. I think we should all understand that life exists here on Earth first and that's a really wonderful thing yes? |
