I hope extraterrestrial life exists - this universe is going to be a very lonely place if it doesn't. However, given the length of time needed for our radio signals to reach other planets, and the length of time needed for their reply to reach us - any conversation between us is likely to last longer than my Mum on the phone.
I run Seti@home because it feels great to be a part of something this big. |
