1) Absolutely, life more than probably exists somewhere out there. I believe it's our responsibility to use any technology we have available to see if there are others out there.
2) Transmitting is a bit more complex - what direction do we aim at? What frequencies? What do we transmit? For how long, what language, etc., etc. Aren't we already acting as a beacon with our radio and television transmissions?
3) I want to help out in what will be the greatest discovery to the most important question of our time. If using my computers idle time is an effective way of helping, then I'm definitely in! |
