Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |
Of cource life excists outside our planet - nature can not help itself!
I believe we will mostly find very little advanced life, maybe none at all - are we able to detect it, if someone contacts us? How long have we been searching for theese signs? Will the red tape of another civilisation give them permission and 'money' to do the same? Will they get fundings to send such a signal we are looking for (did we get it)?
As I said - chances are little we will find anything.
My reason to run SETI@home, is to geather information and statistics, so than we will be able to better asses just how much/little life is out there (upper limits, and so on). |
