I am from Columbia, Tennessee, USA and really like living in a small town. I am a Police / Fire Dispatcher currently but have also worked a lot of Retail Management Jobs.
My main hobby is 7.5 Live Steam Railroading. It has been a passion of mine since I was 6 years old. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I have been running S@H since 2001. Back then, I was a manager at the Brentwood, TN - CompUSA. Our Sales team was looking for something "Cool and Flashy" to put on all the computers. That is when the Tech Manager and myself came up with running Seti @ Home on all the Demo systems. Believe it or not, it actually helped sell more computers and got me started into Distributive Computing.
I do hope that all the computing power given over the years is going to evidently lead to a result. Only time will tell if that is so. I do know that without S@H leading the way so early on, many of the other DC projects would never had existed. I am happy I have been able to help this project over so many years. |
