| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I think something is out there. Statistically, even if life is possible only on one planet per xxx millions, the universe is huge enough to accommodate quite a few of those.
We should look for those lives and let them know that we are also here. One day, I am sure, the universe will become quite crowded. The longer we will know about each other then, the better.
Why do I run SETI@Home? Because it is all I can do right now. The next step, the second phase of SETI (Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence after all) is to search for it by ourselves. And we will need engineers. Lots of them. |
