Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
i think out of the billion galixes we know of there must be at least one, excluding our, that contains a planet close enough to a star, with an atmosphere thick enough and water on the surface, to support life. we have just sent 2 landers to mars and if 1 even finds a little bit of evidence that life exists or has existed on mars, the chances are higher than just 1 other planet in the universe holding life, as two in 1 solar system.

i think that sending a transmition is just a waste of money and resources, as even if life is out there, the chances of it picking up our signals and understanding them is very low.

i run seti@home in order to help the scientists at the university of berkely. if they cant buy a computer with extreame computing power, when i have a good pc at home, why not help them. who knows i could be the finder of ET.
