My Handle is CarDiaC and i live near London in the UK and i got this nickname
Whilst on Efferent (IRC) because I was a paramedic/EMT and also a teacher teaching advanced life support to other medics including doctors
but ironically i was forced to retire some 5yrs ago due
to a heart attack
I have been involved with computers for over 20yrs starting with
(for those who remember it)an add-on pack for the Atari games console
(famous for Space invaders)Moving on via the ZX80/ZX81 BBC micro/Master then into the world of the PC Windows and the internet
So you can probably gather from that at 48 I have had quite a bit of computing
experience i am no expert and am self taught and i still learn new things
about this great hobby every day I am married with 4 great kids(well young adults)
and 2 grandchildren and my wife and i are very proud of them
I discovered Seti@Home and have added more projects as they came along
I am running a number of projects mainly because i believe that many of the
projects both medical and scientific
will help humanity to progress
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
I am running this project because i am sure that one day we will receive
that illusive message from our new friends out there
