Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
Yes, I this it is entirely possible that extraterrestrial life exists, and I also think we have found them without knowing it. If we have unknowingly discovered ETs, then there seems to be no danger as of yet. However, you never know what lies ahead in the future. There are too many dangers and benefits to list if we have not yet discovered them, as we think. The movie "Coccoon" shows you some benefits, as does the movie "E.T." Then again, you have movies such as "War of the Worlds" and "Mars Attacks" that show you some dangers. I just think it depends on what we find first. Then again, let's not forget the episode of the Twilight Zone either!

If I remember correctly, didn't NASA already send out a beacon of sorts? All I could suggest is update what they sent and send it out again.

My major is in the science field. Granted, my goal is to go into Animal Science, but science in general has always intrigued me. Why not help out? What harm could tracking ET life do...unless you refer to the danger section of question one. I think this is a great project. It never hurts to learn more about outer space and the things that live/reside/travel throughout it. Keep up the good work!
