Profile: Charlie B. Chen

Personal background
When the Halley Comet came to Earth on 1986, I began to be interested in Astronomy. After I entered in senior high school in 1991, I joined "Association Astronomy of Cheng-Kung" (AACK, a student club in my high school, it is a 24-years-old club till 2003) and one year later I was to serve the chief secretary of that club.

We had many activities, including courses, speech, and observations. In summer and winter vacations, we hold one-week-long observations, going to mountains in mid-Taiwan and camped there for a week. Those were wonderful experiences because I saw many stars, milky way, and various astronomical objects. Within 3 years in high school, I also made many good frineds.

Although I majored in Computer Science after I entered University, not Astronomy related, I still love to see stars in the sky. When I had a PC of my own in lab, I installed SETI@Home immediately. I think that's just my slight contribution to Astronomy!
