Personal background
Hello. My name is Christopher Rippel. I live in the valley here is Phoenix. In the day time, I am out fixing your TV signal from one of the satellite providers. In my off hours besides looking for Intelligent Extraterrestrial broadcasts, I am a Original Recording Artist of classic rock/pop music. My music is available on any platform and ebay.
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
When I first saw Jodie Foster in the movie Contact, I was in love with this idea. So naturally I sought out SETI and started helping right away. After many computers later, I sort of forgot about it and just recently saw Contact again, and remembered I used to do this. So... here I am full blown doing it again. Going to keep it going full time this time. I pulled out old laptop computers that were dead, and breathed new life into them. Now they are running SETI@home 24/7. Some people dislike this program and the likes for broadcasting our location to the universe and potentially inviting beings from other worlds to visit us and do what they will with us. We have been broadcasting our position since radio was invented. So to those who think this, I will leave you this quote:

The huge distances between the stars act as a quarantine.
It is not reasonable for one civilization to exploit or attack another one.
The great cost of doing that is far greater than any benefit that could accrue from it.
