| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

I run SETI@home just because I 1.) think it's a super awesome way to easily donate to scientific research, 2.) I've got a really powerful computer whose limits I barely ever push, 3.) Space is just cool. The thought that someone, somewhere among the giant and empty black sea, might just be listening to what we have to say makes me endlessly excited and is something I want to do everything in my power to support.
I really do love the project and I just gotta say hats off to everyone working endlessly on it even though they know they might not see the fruits of their efforts in their lifetime. I really do believe it has and will continue to benefit humanity for a long time to come.
The only suggestion I would have is to keep the news section of the site better updated. I'm a newer BOINC user and some of the notifications and function confused me, usually when I googled the issue it turned out just to be on the SETI side of things and not an issue on my side. It's not big deal, but a small time-saver.
