Personal background
12 Years in the USAF have convinced me (if I was not already) that we possess technology we could not have possibly created ourselves!
Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home
1) Do I think extraterrestrial life exists.
Yes. With out a doubt. How else did we get here? I believe we have already discovered it...but it will become public knowledge in the next 25 years.

2) Should humans transmit a beacon for others to find? Well first off, I don't think either cats or dogs would be able to, so if anyone did - it should be humans...but I don't think it would be necessary for us to transmit a beacon for others to find...they already know we are here.

3)Why do I run SETI@Home? Well it is the most aggressive computing undertaking I know of...and I wanted to be part of it...plus there exists the small chance that I could be "the one."
