| Hi, my name is Pierre in french but all my life have been called Peter.I am 55 years young. I have worked as an accountant for 26 years in a large Bridgestone plant in Joliette.I am now home on long term dissability. My major hobby was riding a bicycle(a few thousand miles per season but this spring I had to sell my $1500.bicycle.Instead I bought a great digital camera and now my best hobby is driving all day and taking great shots.Aside from that I have a great sideline which is giving private english lessons for teenagers and adults.Living in a predominantly french province,there is a big demand in learning english so I always have many students.I have been doing that for 5 years.I truly enjoy hearing about sightings of ufo's but find that there were many more about 30 years back.When I was a teen-ager I was lying down in the grass with other friends and to our astonishment we followed a strange light way above in the sky that moved eratically through the sky.We immediatly called the University of Montreal Observatory to tell them what we had seen and in which direction we saw it.We were definetly very excited.Since then I have never ceased to believe in life on other planets and UFO,s. |
| Thoughts about SETI and SETI@home |

1- I definetly believe that extraterrestrial life exists.
1b- I don't think we will ever come in contact with them.So far they have avoided communicating with us and I believe they will continue to avoid communicating with us .As far as possible benefits and dangers I believe the benifits could help as advance very far in our own technology but I also believe that discovering them could be dangerous since we don't know if they are a peacefull race or agressive.
2- as for humans transmitting beacons I believe it could be good.
3- I run Seti because I want to help in any way I can. I have seen a 1 hour show on public tv about Seti,and found it very interesting and captivating. As for suggestions it would be interesting to know what are the important findings with the SETI program.
P.S. If we ever come in contact I think the U.S. Govt will take everything over as they like to do(probably for security reasons and we will never hear about it .just like Roswell. I have the feeling that they would automatically think that they are agressive. Whatever happened to the govt Blue book on UFO's. |
